A passion project born out of necessity. With interests rates hitting a new high in Sydney, (Australia) our friends are forced to move homes, share homes and retreat back home. With so many of our near and dear in motion, it’s hard to keep up.
There are only so many houseplants you can buy without turning your best friend’s new home into an unkept terrarium. Not to mention, their roommates may not all be plant lovers.
Hotel Home contains a key ring, and 6 double-sided door hangers letting your friend’s new roomies know that they’re in iso, out for a beer, or have a special someone over. It is the perfect housewarming gift, house-leaving gift, and overall gift for the modern inner west and outter west human in general.

It began in ideation. Hours of R&D in illustration, colours and target insights.
Graphics were drawn and selected from the draft sketches. I felt they were the most symbolic of the little phrases of the bunch.
The phrases were created from slang and common phrases used when someone’s bedroom or bathroom door is closed. The typography was pressure tested and chosen to suit the illustration style. Tbh I am stoked with how the rounded edges, thick contours and playful yet professional flair tied it all in together.
When creating the door hangers and packaging themselves, I looked into the net design for each and generated the guide on illustrator.
The process isn’t completely over as I’m still looking to get these printed and off the screen to the physical world.
